As part of our social responsibility to help others, charity is an important aspect of the RMS community.
Lead by the Deputy Head Girls for Charity, the Senior School choose two charities to support during each academic year. They work hard to come up with new and exciting ways of raising money and have a great success record! In 2016-7 they raised £12,000 for SPARKS - an outstanding achievement!
Our relationship with a school in Atorkor in Ghana provides another focus for our fundraising, and each year we raise money to enable girls in Ghana to have access to secondary school education. To read more about our Ghana project, please click here.
The RMS community also fundraises in response to catastrophic world events such as earthquakes.
In addition to non-uniform days and cake sales the girls run imaginative and enjoyable events to raise money. Staff are often called upon to take part in events such as a fashion show, bleep tests and a quiz against Year 7 girls.
