Like you, we want your daughter to achieve her very best at RMS, we want her to explore and discover new talents, and to develop skills to help her in her life beyond school. But most importantly to us, we want her to be happy.
Here, your daughter will be considered as an individual, and she will be encouraged, nurtured and supported to surpass her expectations by dedicated and attentive teachers who really know and understand their pupils. RMS has a supportive culture that promotes balance, self-esteem and confidence, and within this, we and your daughter will recognise and harness her potential.
Excellent pastoral care is central to this ethos, and your daughter will be supported by a network of adults and peers throughout her time at RMS to ensure that her time with us is as happy as it is successful.
Each RMS girl is cared for as an individual and in the Senior Department, teams of Form Tutors are led by a Head of Year who co-ordinates pastoral care. The House system further promotes community spirit between year groups and fosters competition in a spirit of fun.
A qualified counsellor spends one day a week at RMS and girls can make confidential appointments with her. The School Chaplain is also part of the support network and is available to advise girls, parents and staff.
We know and value each and every one of our pupils, and fostering their happiness and well being is our highest priority. We seek to cultivate the girls’ self esteem and self confidence, but also to imbue within them an awareness of the wider community. Charity fundraising and voluntary service feature strongly, and we hope that RMS girls learn to appreciate what they as individuals can do for others.
We cannot thank you enough for the opportunities that have been opened up to the girls both educationally, pastorally and socially. This support has provided them with the greatest start they could have possibly asked for in their lives. To us they have blossomed into well balanced, confident young women and this is in major part due to RMS. Parent
